While traveling through the Midwest last summer, we had the chance to stop in and visit our good friend Josh Phillips in Missouri. During that visit, 001G immediately caught our eye—and it was clear she needed to make her way to Chickamauga as part of a joint embryo venture with JGP Gelbvieh. 001G embodies the look of an ideal beef cow. Much like the rest of the TJB herd, she is moderate in her build, maternally designed, and highly functional. Her SAV Renown pedigree brings powerful female-making genetics, and as a low-percentage Gelbvieh female, she offers a unique outcross to our program—opening the door to countless mating possibilities with TJB-bred bulls. We’re eagerly anticipating her Landon and Rebel Yell calves coming in Fall 2025—they’re bound to make an impression.
